Impact of Graduate Student Expansion and Innovative Human Capital on Green Total Factor Productivity

Using data from 30 provinces and cities in China 2005–2018, panel regression models, mediation quantile regressions threshold were used to examine the relationship between graduate student size expansion, innovative human capital green total factor productivity (GTFP) analyze influence mechanisms heterogeneity among them. The results of study are as follows: First, expansion driving force for GTFP growth China, indirectly boosts by promoting supply capital, with a 73% mediating effect. Second, effects on show trend diminishing marginal benefits, estimated coefficient effect scale share has an inverted U-shaped relationship. Third, there is significant feature industrial structure upgrading GTFP. makes suggestions terms expanding students, rationalizing enrollment universities, optimizing regional creating social innovation environment.
